On this page, I will develop charts that are easy to follow to help with the diagnosis of the wound. That being said, sometimes the diagnosis is unclear and cannot be solely based on the appearance of the wound. The patient's health history, concerns and wound history needs to be taken accounted for. As well, diagnostic studies will help identify and differentiate between different diagnosis.

Is it a Local Infection or is it a Systemic Infection?

    I believe night time pain from Arterial insufficiency isn't relieved by elevating the legs... It's relieved by putting them in the dependant position. The lower extremities already have trouble getting enough oxygenated blood to them so elevating them would just make it worse. Just thought I would note that since these two can be a little confusing next to one another.
